Using Mavis in Slack is a great way for you and your team to get answers from your knowledge base directly in the Slack channels where you are already working.
Install Mavis' Slack app into your Slack workspace.
1. Sign up for a Mavis account or Sign in to your account.
2. Navigate to the Connections page using the navigation bar.
3. Click Link Slack.

Add Mavis to each channel where you'd like Mavis to be able available to answer questions.
1. To add Mavis, mention @Mavis in a message in the channel.
2. In Slack's reply, click Add Them.

Configure and start the Support Assistant agent.
1. Navigate to the Agents page using the navigation bar.
2. Select the Support Assistant agent.
3. Select the Slack channels for the Support Assistant to monitor, and when you'd like the agent to respond.
4. Add content to your knowledge base by connecting Mavis to sources like Google Docs or Notion.
5. Give your agent a name.
6. Start your Support Assistant agent.

If you've enabled Mavis to auto-respond in a channel, simply ask a question and Mavis will respond if it has an answer. If you've set up Mavis to mannually trigger, then ask a question in a message that mentions @Mavis. You can also ask Mavis a question in a direct message.

If Mavis is set up to be manually triggered, you can get Mavis to answer a question by replying in a thread and mentioning @Mavis, or by reacting to the message with the 🔎 (:mag:) emoji.

Mavis uses AI to generate responses and may occasionally generate inaccurate responses.
